Plot Outline:The story begins with family man Abe Dale (Fillion) witnessing his wife and son being brutally murdered by a stranger (Fairbrass), a tragedy which soon leads to a distraught Abe attempting to take his own life. Rushed to hospital, he gains a brief glimpse of a tunnel of light at the end of which is his family. Once he recovers, Abe finds the way he views the world has changed forever.

He can now perceive the bizarre noises known as Electronic Voice Phenomenon, and can see a glowing aura of white light around people who are shortly to die, meaning that he has the chance to save them. One of these rescues leads Abe into a closer relationship with Sherry (Sackhoff), a nurse with her own tragedy to deal with. What he doesn't realise is that he's upsetting the balance of life and death. There are going to be fatal consequences to his actions, and with his destiny now bizarrely linked to his family's killer, it's up to Abe to restore the balance before more lives are lost.
