Progressive instrumentalists ANIMALS AS LEADERS — the new project of 7-and 8-string guitar wizard Tosin Abasi (ex-REFLUX). The band was formed soon after Reflux disbanded, when Abasi began work on an instrumental solo project as a way to further express his musical personality. The result: a 12-track collection of guitar-driven progressive instrumentals with ambient and electronic influences that provides a scintillating showcase for one of the finest young guitarists in rock today. This is great material, and really shows off the maturity that metal can indeed handle when placed in the right hands.
