Last month I was pleasantly surprised by the band Blinded Rain and for this issue I also reviewed an (for me) unknown Finish band called End Of You. And again this band overwhelmed me in a very positive way! End Of You is a breath of fresh air for the gothic rock world; gothic and wave tinted songs are floating between the darkness of metal and rock. The combined action of singing and the compositions is balanced out very well; the songs are finely modulated and are of a very high quality. If you can reach all this in merely four years of existence, you will definitely get a high mark from me.
Something which is also a very nice surprise on this album, is the cover of 'Golden Eye' of the similar James Bond movie, originally performed by Tina Turner. Furthermore the album is filled with a lot of appetizing beats to dance to, like in 'You Deserve More' and 'Number 8', but it also contains pleasant and gloomy arrangements like 'Driving Down The Void' and 'In Elegance'.
In conclusion: you should definitely buy this machine driven melancholic rock, because this masterpiece is impressively beautiful! Really, if you like a mix of 80s wave, gothic, metal and gothic rock.
