A belter of a pop single from Boom Bip and Gruff Rhys' Neon Neon
project, this song starts off like a lost Erasure Aside only to evolve
into a muscular New Orderstyle electronic pop masterclass. It's
tremendous stuff, loaded with killer melodies and thankfully, no hint of
irony. On this CD format you get both the radio edit and the full length
cut with also insturmentals. Also on this cd is the Spank
Rock collaboration 'Trick For Treat' (which was the previous single, if
you recall) which is lined up alongside a Hot Chip remix with the
instrumental, which takes something of a departure from their usual
modus operandi, instead evoking a vaguely crunky hip hop tone with no
small amount of success.
