Humongous Entertainment continues its kid-friendly sports series with a trip to the old ballpark in Backyard Baseball '09. Featuring real logos, team names, and stat tracking, Backyard Baseball '09 is designed to provide a fun simulation experience that is accessible to kids. With at least one pint-sized version of a real star from each Major League Baseball club, gamers can dive for a ground ball with Derek Jeter, smack a double to the gap with Albert Pujols, swipe second base with Alex Rodriguez, or hit a home run with Red Sox slugger David Ortiz. Power-ups and auto play provide some spice for gamers, while enhanced hitting and fielding, and variable difficulty make the game easier for the youngest of players.
