From audio cassette (Nakamichi Dragon) to CD (Pioneer PDR-555RW) to MP3 (iTunes 8)

Dolby NR was NOT used. You can post-process to your liking.
(Not the best recording, but fine enough).
The book is a classic favorite, and one my favorite books to listen to. Superb reading.
Robin Bailey will forever BE Noel Strachan for me:
"Of a girl that I met forty years too late, and of her life in that small town that I shall never see again, that holds so much of my affection."
This reading holds so much of my affection. I get just a little glassy eyed everytime I hear that line...
Also have posted another Nevil Shute favorite of mine: Round The Bend
Cheers, FerraBit
