things keep looking up for GA. not many pop acts survive past their greatest hits release but this is theor 2nd album since!
cheryl is a judge on the new series of x factor 2008 so the free publicity will help no end. lets hope there's some crackers like love machine on here for a real good party

REVIEW:

'Out Of Control' sees the Grils team up with Brain Higgins and the rest of Xenomania for what promises to be their most exciting and thrilling album yet. The album sees the girls growing into an older sound with a 60s influence.

The all-conquering reality stars Girls Aloud return for a fifth full-length outing in the shape of 'Out Of Control', an album with myriad influences and pop styles incorporated. After the prominence and celebrity of Cheryl Cole, thanks to her high-profile personal life and appearance as a judge on ITV's The X Factor talent show, this release comes with great fan expectation attached. The girls themselves appear to be dabbling with retro influences including drum 'n' bass, 80s and 90s dance music and balladry. As with previous releases, the Xenomania songwriting team are at work behind the scenes. Features the single 'The Promise'.

The winners of the 2002 reality TV show POP STARS: THE RIVALS--the show adopted a new twist on the Popstars theme, picking opposing boy and girl bands to battle it out in the U.K. charts--Girls Aloud triumphed when the single "Sound Of The Underground" b/w "Stay Another Day" topped the charts. Their cover version of the Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You', commissioned by the Children In Need charity, also topped the U.K. charts in December 2004.
