Notes:
Looking like he has just been found underneath a park bench, this fella passed under my radar for far too long.
Despite the appearance, the sounds produced by Steve and his three string Trance Wonder(?) are quite remarkable. The voice and boogie style put me in mind of John Lee Hooker with perhaps a hint of Lightin' Hopkins' rough edge and just a smidge of Dr Feelgood. The finger picking and slide on Walking Man is simply lovely. The one string Diddly Bow is just dirty!
On the strength of this broadcast I went out and bought the Dog House Music album and I'm looking forward to "Started Out With Nothing..." on it's release in the next few weeks.
