Vultures In The Vatican are a new Leicester spawned 4 piece Prog/Hardcore act who began writing together in july 2009. Within 3 months the band had written a 6 track e.p and played with some of the finest bands in the midlands. Heavily influence by the intensity of live shows they were drawn together with a passion to create a raw power that truly represents the scene that they love in its purest and brutal form but also take the listener on a forever changing trip into deep concepts woven within the heart of their songwriting.

Lyrically the band are heavily influenced by tales of horror and macarbe folklore and this is delivered by slabs of intense vocal diversity split between a lead and two backing vocalists of very different styles.

Musically the journey continues to shift,crush and alter around every turn to bring out what they feel is naturally the best way approach the subject at hand, with this in mind they overcome the thought of having to stay within 1 genre and with versatility they excel to bring you along into the unknown.
