Torrent description

The Beethoven cycle by Szell and his legendary orchestra are wonderful. In short, the orchestra is perfect, the tempos are fast, powerful, oozing with power, the sound is great for such an old recording.

I have many recording of these symphonies, including Karajan, however, I always return to Szell. His interpretations possess a beauty you will be hardpressed to find anywhere else.
