Some excellent and rare stuff there, superbly played. The sonata by Hagen on this disc was also interpreted by Robert Barto on his Naxos/Hagen recording.
Frankly, I can't make anything of the stupid title or "topic" of this disc, and I refuse to read completely the pseudo-mystical garbage in the booklet. So, can't tell you what it's about with those "witches and alchemists". But the music and the playing is great, especially on the second half of of the disc! ;-)
