A combination of musicians, never heard playing together previously, each one representing his own culture. The LP contains a large amount of African elements, whisch mainly come to light and excellently so, via the percussion instruments and different vocals. Thereafter the mystical influence of the so-called New Age Music takes over... Saliah, whose name refers to an African tradition, has been applied in various forms by Hinze, who was so inspired by this ritual that he wrote his own 'Saliah'. What makes Saliah so unique is the fact that the African and Indian influences are so perfectly combined with a not too progressive Western style, varying from American affected fusion-rock to film mood music....
